Gnome Death Knight

It’s true. It’s finally happening. A gnomelution!

I was not looking forward to Death Knights until I saw this picture…

I wasn’t sure how the DK fit into the storyline. If they were evil, why were we going to play them? Then I read how they were *once*-aligned to the Lich King but have now broken free of his grasp/rule/influence. How convenient.

I can imagine that when WotLK hits, half the population will be leveling DKs while the other half levels their mains. As when TBC arrived and we were either leveling BEs/Draeneis or racing our mains to 70, there will be pressure to do both quickly. The ones to level their mains will profit in the short-term by being ahead in the ilvl gear race, while those leveling DKs will profit in the long-term from learning and mastering early on a class that is clearly powerful.

It’s a common sentiment to say that one will not be leveling a Death Knight “like everyone else” when the expansion arrives, but as the day draws nearer, I am sure that will change as the DK concepts becomes clearer.

I’ve already decided on a name and a look for my gnome DK. Green/pink hair, the double pig tails, earrings (maybe). With new hairstyles, though, that may change, since I already have 4 gnomes of every possible class and will want to try out the new hairstyles. With regard to the name, I’m keeping that a secret. EDIT: Ok, now I want a black-haired, pony-tailed, dark-skin-with-earrings gnome. Confused.
